Do AI notetakers work with Zoom and Microsoft Teams?

Direct answer

Most major notetakers support Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and several add Webex or browser-based calls. Coverage is not uniform, though: features like screen capture, live captions and admin permissions differ per platform. Donna attends Google Meet live, and analyses uploaded recordings from any platform.

Why a platform badge is not coverage

A logo on a pricing page means the bot can join. It does not tell you whether the tool records the shared screen there, whether it can auto-join a recurring series, whether your administrator has to approve an app, or whether the transcript carries real participant names on that platform. Each meeting platform exposes a different amount to a joining participant, and the resulting quality gap between a vendor’s best and worst platform is usually larger than the gap between two vendors.

The admin dimension people discover late

On every major platform, an administrator can restrict which third-party apps connect to meetings and calendars — and in 2026 those controls got sharper and more used. Procurement therefore has two gates, not one: does the tool support our platform, and will our administrator allow this vendor into it? A tool your own organisation runs faces only the second question, and answers it internally.

What Donna does today, stated plainly

Live attendance is Google Meet only. There is no Zoom bot and no Teams bot, and this page will say so until there is. What is not limited is the analysis: any recording — Zoom export, Teams recording, a phone recording of an in-person meeting — can be uploaded and run through the same pipeline, producing the same lens-appropriate report. Many teams use exactly that split: live coverage where they meet most, uploads for everything else.

Related questions

Will Donna support Zoom or Teams later?

The bot is browser-driven, so additional platforms are an engineering question rather than an architectural one — but nothing is announced, and no page here will imply support that does not exist yet.

How good is analysis of an uploaded recording?

The analysis is identical, since it runs on the transcript. Speaker naming depends on what the source provides: a Meet call she attended carries real names from captions, while an arbitrary upload may not.

Can I mix both in one archive?

Yes. Live Meet calls and uploaded recordings land in the same archive, so the receipts ledger and Ask Donna search across both.
